Georgie Tomlinson is a solicitor in the real estate team, based at our Lincoln office.
Georgie is experienced in dealing with all aspects of commercial property and regularly advises clients in the agriculture sector. She has experience in property sales and purchases, commercial lease negotiation and complex transfers of property.
She also has experience dealing with overage agreements and pre-emption agreements, as well as unregistered land - piecing together title and ownership and registering at the Land Registry.

Commercial property
She supports a wide range of clients including private individuals, businesses, limited companies, partnerships, trusts and public bodies.
She is well versed in sales and purchases, CPSEs and the creation and renewal of leases, both within and outside the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954. Her role also involves supporting with deeds of surrender, deeds of easement, variation and rent deposit deeds.
She works closely with clients to understand their key priorities, working efficiently and diligently to achieve their aims within the timescale set.

Georgie has a wealth of knowledge of agricultural property law, working with clients including farming partnerships, landowners, businesses and executors of estates.
She deals with the first registration of agricultural land, sales, purchases and transfers of land, contracts, agriculture and rural land standard enquiries and transfers of whole and part. She also supports clients with assents, partition agreements, overage agreements and dividing land, often in conjunction with a farm partition or in accordance with dealing with an estate.
She works closely with clients to assess their position when it comes to legal and equitable ownership of land, which often involves working with land agents and accountants to consider all aspects of the transaction.
Education
Georgie studied Psychology at the University of Liverpool before completing the Graduate Diploma in Law in 2020 at Nottingham Law School.
She then studied a Legal Practice Course (LPC) at Nottingham Law School and completed an internship at Nottingham Law School Legal Advice Centre, before qualifying in September 2023.
Georgie also attended the Agricultural Law Association Starter for Ten course in February 2024.
Voluntary work and memberships
Georgie is a member of the Agricultural Law Association, which promotes the understanding and development of the law and practice in agriculture, environment and food.
